Proper care and feeding :

Congratulations! If you had a recent "Ned Wise" retrofit on your spa, you are the owner of some of the most technologically advanced & well-produced spa
control systems available anywhere. This system will serve you well for a long time, if you observe the following requirements of your warranty.
- PH, PH, PH ...... most common cause of most failures. Test every 2-3 days whether you are using the spa or not! Failure to maintain PH will lead to
heater failure, pump seal failure, plumbing & cover damage. If you plan to drain the tub and leave it empty, you must completely drain the heater manifold.
Call for details.
- Equipment must be kept dry! Portable spa equipment must be protected from the rain, sun, etc. The spa cabinet should be maintained to be weatherproof
and watertight. Most spas have a silicon seal that joins the spa up to the wood perimeter rail. This seal should be checked periodically and repaired as needed.
Doors and access panels should be periodically checked for weather tightness.
- The spa must be defended against all sorts of vermin. The heat produced by the spa attracts rats, mice, bugs, ants, etc. Rats can be problematic as
they will burrow through the foam insulation and make nests and have families. Rats also eat plumbing, wiring and just about anything made of wood or plastic.
The only defense against the raging rodents is making sure the spa cabinetry has no openings to allow them to get in. Even the smallest hole can be an entry point.
Telltale signs you have rats include lots of small foam pieces lying in the equipment area. A foul odor can sometimes be detected. Insects such as ants, roaches,
spiders, etc. are also attracted to the spa because of the moisture associated with hot water and condensation. They can get caught between high voltage connectors
and relay contacts and ruin the printed circuit board they are mounted on requiring costly non-warranty repairs.
(These common sense maintenance procedures listed above apply to all spas.)
These are the highlights - other terms apply.
Please check your warranty for details.
